Vantive has added support for customer self-service and channel partner communications to its Vantive Enterprise 8.0 upgrade. New to the suite, which was rolled out last month, is Vantive Web Self-Service, an application that lets users search for problem resolutions and view and update their personal Web pages. The Partner Desktop application lets companies extend their Vantive systems to channel partners for collaboration. Enhancements to the Vantive Support application include integration with Microsoft's Outlook, which allows agents to route tasks and appointments to employees.
Suite pricing is $2,500 to $3,500 (#1,462-#2,047) per concurrent user and $30,000 to $50,000 (#17,544-#29,240) per server. The software runs on Windows NT and Windows 95 and supports any Web browser. www.vantive.com.
