Legato has introduced eCluster, aimed at enhancing the reliability and manageability of e-commerce , and wanCluster, a data-recovery solution.
Tivoli and Computer Associates (CA) also recently discussed support for server-less back-ups across SANs which will allow data movement without affecting CPU processing. Tivoli's SANergy File Sharing allows files to be shared between platforms. When combined with Tivoli Storage Manager, it allows server-less and LAN-free back-up. CA will deliver its ARCserveIT storage management software with server-less back-up and restore capabilities.
Vixel has introduced SAN InSite 2000 software designed to manage multivendor SAN hardware and integrate with storage management and enterprise management applications from other vendors.
