BT is seeking service providers interested in developing with the telco an interactive service trial being held next year in west London. The trial will involve 2,000 BT customers and be similar to BT's interactive television projects in Ipswich and Colchester last year. BT will overlay part of its copper cable network with asymetrical digital subscriber line which will enable users to surf the Internet and view video over phone lines. The infrastructure will be provided by Alcatel and Fujitsu.
