Sun customers in Europe can now buy their products securely over the Internet, using the Sun Plaza online service. Plaza is now available in Europe for the first time, initially offering products from the Sun Express after-marketing division.
Sun Express will operate an Internet catalogue service for its own and third party products such as consumables. The next units to trade on the Net will be Javasoft and Sunsoft, which already offer electronic purchasing, including software downloading, in the US.
Registed users can load items into a shopping cart and pay by credit card. They can also receive information on pricing, availability and their own ordering status 24 hours a day.
The Sun Express site is at www.sun.com/sunexpress.
