Thousands of small UK firms could each benefit from free accounting software worth nearly £400, as part of a promotion from Pegasus Software.
In order to build up its online community, Pegasus is offering the software to the first 5,000 companies that apply. The promotion is open to any firm with less than 20 employees.
The online community will enable firms to access training material as well as take part in discussion forums with expert accountants.
"We have a genuine quest at Pegasus to build an online community and help it to succeed," said Andy West, chief operating officer at Pegasus.
The free software, a move which is also designed to improve the firm's product profile and sales, provides an integrated accounting system able to generate over 170 standard reports.
The software comes with sales and purchase ledger functions, and includes stock control capabilities.
Businesses interested in the promotion should apply to www.pegasus.co.uk
