Samsung has completed testing its first 1Gbyte Dram memory module.
The product has already started sampling and has been supplied to its partner Intel and to other PC vendors.
The module, which uses a series of 256Mbit synchronous Dram chips, is likely to be used in future generations of machines using advanced processors Intel is readying for next year.
