Consumers will soon be able to download and print tickets from the website of entertainment ticket specialist, Ticketmaster.
Users buying tickets from Ticketmaster.com will be able to print tickets with a barcode which will be recognised by a scanning device at each specific ticketed event.
The system is currently in prototype, but Ticketmaster hopes that 10 venues will be able to accept the tickets as early as April.
Online ticket buyers will also have access to additional information on the Ticketmaster site, including directions to the venue and transport details.
