Cheyenne Software, which was recently bought by Computer Associates, has acquired Preferred Systems(PSI)for an undisclosed sum.
PSI, a developer of directory services management software, has been Cheyenne?s business partner for several years. With the acquisition the company?s products will be added to the CA enterprise management group.
Cheyenne released a new back-up and virus protection package for Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange Server and Novell Groupwise. The Cheyenne Protection Suite costs $2,495 and works with a company groupware server to eliminate the need to perform offline scanning for viruses.
