Fears that the recent Melissa e-mail virus might spark more destructive copycats were realised last week when a worm virus known as ExploreZip was unleashed globally on the Web.
ExploreZip arrives in the form of an e-mail attachment called "zipped_files.exe".
One of the first UK victims of the worm virus was BSkyB, whose computer system was knocked out on Thursday. "It's chaos at the moment - all the computers are down," said one BSkyB employee.
