On-line information provider MAID has purchased a majority stake in information retrieval software company Muscat for #5.56m. MAID plans to use Muscat's software to help distribute its Profound product around company intranets.
MAID also reported its interim results on Thursday, with turnover 46 per cent up on last year at #14m, resulting in a net loss of #1.7m. The company said it expected to move into profits before the end of the year.
