UK publishing company Silver Palm is putting up a book on the Internet today on Monica Lewinsky?s affair with President Clinton, and charging #1 to access it.
In a statement, Silver Palm said the book, 'Monica Lewinsky: Behind the myth', was based on material which had been researched for a documentary by independent British company Atlantic Productions.
The programme, which it claims took six months to put together, is scheduled to be shown on the US Arts and Entertainment network.
Silver Palm said it had opted to sell the access to the book on the Internet because mainstream publishers could only get the book out in three months' time. t felt it was important to get it out now while the public is still interested in the Clinton/Lewinsky affair.
Although the book, by author Simon Caulkin, will only cost #1 on the Internet, Silver Palm is putting additional 50 pence charges on access to certain material.
Lewinsky has already agreed to collaborate with Princess Diana's biographer Andrew Morton on a book, which is due out early next year.
