Compuware, the largest independent manufacturer of IBM mainframe software, is to cut an undisclosed number of jobs and close branches in reaction to final quarter predictions for this year.
The company is to "reorganise" operations in North America and Europe, with professional services and sales support being the hardest hit departments. The company would not reveal numbers or locations.
"We have carefully evaluated our business and are determined that we must make significant changes to improve profitability and better position the company for long term success," said chief executive Peter Karmanos.
