Network Asociates is planning a major expansion of its Indian activities following the acquisition of antivirus specialist Dr Solomon's Software.
Building on Dr Solomon's leading market share in the subcontinent, Network Associates aims to become the market leader in antivirus and security software.
Speaking to the press together with IT Secure - a national distributor for Dr.Solomon's products - Deb Dutta, Network Associates' regional sales manager for south east Asia, said: "With the acquisition of Dr Solomon's, we will inherit a large user base in India. Our first priority will be to continue servicing this base and provide it with an uninterrupted stream of upgrades and support services as well as new products."
