3Com is taking a massive $375 million hit for restructuring costs associated with the acquisition of US Robotics, according to a Securities & Exchange Commission filing. The costs cover redundancies, facilities and extra inventories, and they follow on a $6.6 billion acquisition charge for fiscal 1997.
