California-based Net Dynamics has launched in Europe with software that provides Web access to heavyweight databases and applications such as SAP R/3.
The European office will be headed by former Powersoft vice president Vic Morris. It has already appointed sales partners in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Spain. In the UK, agreements have been signed with RCMS in Slough and Glasgow-based Buchanan International.
Net Dynamics provides a suite of Web application development tools that makes applications such as SAP and Peoplesoft available on the Internet. ?Currently companies use HTML to build Intranets. They employ expensive engineers to hand-code applications to access the database, which could take many months to develop. With our products one of our customers were able to do it in four weeks,? explained Zack Rinat, Net Dynamic?s president and chief executive.
Instead of building applications from scratch or using a range of Perl, C/C++, HTML and CGI executables, Net Dynamics provides an automated development environment based on Java. The product automatically manages user sessions and tracks user navigation and security.
Net Dynamics has also secured a deal whereby Netscape resells its products as its preferred Java development toolset for corporate customers.
