Gamers will be able to enjoy Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone on sundry games consoles in time for the film's UK release next month.
Middlesex-based developer Argonaut Games is adding the finishing touches to the title on its PlayStation version, which goes on sale on 16 November.
PC, Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Colour versions are to follow.
Puzzle solving is a strong theme in the game, as it is for Argonaut's management team which has just reported a pre-tax loss of £3.1m on sales of £4.4m.
Chief executive Jez San is confident that Potter can weave a little magic on the firm's books.
"We anticipate that, with a bit of Hogwarts magic, the game will literally fly off the shelves," he said.
Argonaut has also confirmed that it has been signed up by Microsoft to work on two games for the X-box platform, due for release next autumn.
