Nine Californian cancer victims have filed suit against IBM, claiming that it exposed them to toxic chemicals while working in its San Jose disk drive factory. The plaintiffs say they were used as "guinea pigs" int he plant and that IBM "wilfully and recklessly" failed to warn them of health hazards or to follow safety procedures. IBM denies all wrongdoing and claims it has always been committed to a safe working environment.
