A new breed of low-cost Web and Java servers is expected to be built round a Sun motherboard launched last month. The board can be used in standard PC cases, using PC peripherals including 64-bit PCI expansion cards. The idea is that PC systems builders can offer Sun workstations at near-PC prices.
