Intel chief, Craig Barrett said the chip giant would buy more companies to boost its networking portfolio.
He told journalists at Comdex: "We'll probably make some more acquisitions. We're looking at some other people."
Last month, Intel announced it would acquire struggling remote access firm, Shiva, for $185 million, to help it flesh out its networking line with remote access and virtual private networking products.
Intel is well known for its desktop based networking products, such as adapter cards, but little more beyond that level.
