In a concerted effort to improve its UK market share, Olivetti PC has announced price cuts of up to 24 per cent on its PCs and notebooks.
Prices of Olivetti?s Modulo range of professional desktops have been reduced by up to 19 per cent with the Olivetti Modulo 166 mini-tower - with 16Mbytes of memory, 2Gbytes SCSI disks, eight-speed CD-Rom and a 14-inch display - now retailing at #1,449. Entry level models such as the Modulo 133 slimline desktop with 16Mbytes of memory are priced from #739.
Top end Olivetti Echos Pro notebooks are down by 16 per cent and entry level notebooks are down by 24 per cent.
