Angry UK Internet users are poised to strike next month in a bid to lower telephone charges.
Following a similar boycott by German Net users, (Newswire 2 November) IT consultant Jaime Gorman has formed Cyberstrike, calling on all home users to join together and boycott the Net in the hope that OFTEL listen to their demands.
Cyberstrike wants free local calls for Internet use by all of the UK?s telephone companies and the freedom to choose any provider who offers the best deals for Net users.
The group also wants the Government to acknowledge that the current local call pricing structure needs to be reviewed in order for the Internet to prosper.
