Samsung has sold 10 million Galaxy S smartphones, according to a posting to the Samsung Tomorrow news service and image feed.
"The Galaxy S is the result of our 22-year heritage in the mobile industry," said Samsung mobile communications president J K Shin.
"It is the realisation of our concept of 'the Smart Life' to makes users' lives more convenient, exciting and integrated."
Samsung's announcement comes as the industry gears up for a flood of new smartphone models in the coming days. Several major vendors are expected to debut new hardware models this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
