Fresh from an assault by Belgian anarchists with cream pies, Bill Gates, CEO of Microsoft, has apparently struck a deal with UK pay TV company Flextech.
The deal is part of the politickings over set top boxes and delivering content. Microsoft is also talking to Rupert Murdoch, CEO of BSkyB, about content and the machinery to deliver it.
But Murdoch is a hard bargainer and despite the fact that BSkyB appears on the front page of Windows 98, along with BBC TV and Vogue, the VNU Newswire understands that Gates has not had his own way.
Talks are continuing, despite the whirlwind tour from Gates to Europe.
