Eizo has launched its first product of 1999, a 21in monitor targeted at graphics and design professionals.
The FlexScan T960 offers a refresh rate of 92Hz at a resolution of 1600 x 1200dpi, for workers in fields such as CAD/CAM and high end graphics, who require a large screen and very high image quality.
The monitor has a flatter screen design to reduce reflected light and improve focus. Its variable dot pitch (of 0.25mm in the centre of the screen, increasing to 0.27mm at the edges) should ensure a sharp focus right across the screen, the manufacturer claims.
A horizontal scanning frequency of 30-115KHz reduces flicker. At a resolution of 1280 x 1024, the monitor offers a refresh rate of 107Hz. The T960 has a built-in USB hub, with one port to attach it to the computer and four more for USB peripherals such as digital cameras.
The FlexScan T960 is shipping now, priced at #959.
