Two in three UK organisations have no intention of building an intranet, despite analysts projections that the market will grow four-fold to #1.2 billion by the year 2000.
According to a study by Input, current intranet use in the UK is severely lagging behind that of other European countries.However, Input believes the situation was only temporary, and that UK companies would begin to implement intranets once the number of off-the-shelf packages increases.
