Hewlett-Packard has beefed up its line of Vectra XU Pentium Pro PC workstations with higher performance graphics, larger cache and speedier CD-Rom drives.
Aimed at software developers, financial analysts and engineers the new boxes will come with 512Kbytes of full speed on-board cache, a 16-speed CD-Rom drive and an upgraded Matrox Millenium graphics card that offers 1600x1200 pixel resolution with true colour (16.7 million colours support.
The Pentium Pro, dual processing capable systems are available now with prices ranging from $3,637 to $5,348. They come pre-installed with Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer, Mcafee virus protection software and HP tools (the company?s PC management software).
