Following Madge Networks' lead in the Token Ring market, IBM and Olicom will release products this week that use the newly standardised HSTR (High Speed Token Ring) specification. HSTR, which is fully compatible with exisiting 4Mbps and 16Mbps Token Ring equipment, transmits data at 100Mbps.
