Esprit Telecom has signed an interconnect agreement with Deutsche Telekom but critises Germany of still being closed to fair competition.
The contract, which begins next year, sets out the rules and prices by which Esprit will link its pan-European telecomms network with Deutsche Telekom's national German network.
However, Esprit slammed the German telecomms industry for its lack of a cost-based pricing regime for leased lines, wholesale rates for toll-free 130 numbers, and the removal of anti-competitive conditions that prevent carrier pre-selection customers from choosing separate and long distance companies.
