Losing 11 of his top product developers to Oracle has clearly rattled the normally cool and collected Phil White, chief executive of Informix. Commenting on his company's forthcoming civil suit concerning the alleged theft of trade secrets, White said poaching his staff was a "sleazy, blatant act". But his opposite number at Oracle has yet to comment, although White claims he has tried to contact him by dropping by one of Larry Ellison's houses. He was told that Ellison was not in, but was in Hong Kong.
