Microsoft plans to make a Windows 98 Resource Kit available tomorrow, in anticipation of the operating system?s (OS) worldwide launch on 25 June.
The Kit is a $69.99, 1,700-page book to help users understand its architecture and deploy it within their corporations. It also comes with a CD with a range of deployment, administration and conversion tools that are not incorporated into the OS itself, and previews of two products currently under development, Microsoft Voice and Microsoft Dictation.
The tools include a Tools Management Console, MS Batch 98 for undertaking batch deployment, a Fat 32 file system conversion utility and TweakUI, which enables users to customise their desktop front ends.
