Lotus' customers will have to wait just a little longer for the company's much delayed Notes/Domino Release 5 - unless they've got a very high speed Internet connection.
According to Notes marketing manager, Jim Moffatt, although Lotus promised the product would begin shipping tomorrow after a series of delays, users will have a couple of weeks wait before the CDs actually start shipping.
The product code will be on the Web on Wednesday, said Moffatt, with the disks following in mid to late April.
"We're 2 to 3 weeks behind with the manufacturing of the disks," he said.
Lotus has already been criticised for repeated slippages in the shipping date of R5. (see Newswire 19 February)
