Compaq was red faced last week as it admitted certain information on its web site was misleading to visitors.
Descriptions of the company?s Presario 1255 notebook implied that the product features the more expensive mobile version of AMD?s K6-2 processor, when it actually uses the cheaper desktop version.
Compaq was alerted to the error following US reports late last week and said it was currently correcting the information.
