Sybase has renamed the second beta release of its Java rapid application development tool from Starbuck to Jato, following complaints from the Starbuck coffee company?s lawyers in the US.
Jato can be downloaded now from www.powersoft.com, and includes such enhancements over the first beta as a visual query editor, which enables developers to graphically build SQL statements using live data without needing to know SQL.
Sybase has also added a Jato scheme to its Code Partner Programme, which provides ISVs and developers with early code releases, technical support and marketing information.
