Available immediately, the new range consists of the LaCie d2 Quadra Enterprise Class, LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class, and the LaCie 4big Quadra Enterprise Class, which are built to hold one, two, or four drives respectively.
The Enterprise Class are designed for superior performance, with 7,200RPM Serial ATA (Sata) drives and 3Gbit/s eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces for connection to a host computer.
Other features include optional 128-bit AES hardware encryption to safeguard data, and LaCie's Desktop Manager software, which allows password access for up to 10 users. A service package also includes a five-year warranty and five years of data recovery.
LaCie said that the new devices are aimed at professionals requiring highly robust and reliable storage, such as those in the creative industries, plus the medical, legal and accounting fields.

The single-drive LaCie d2 Quadra Enterprise Class starts at £229 and is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities.
Meanwhile, the LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class supports Raid levels 0 and 1, and supports up to 4TB of storage, with prices starting at £419.
Finally, the LaCie 4big Quadra can support Raid levels 0, 3, 5 and 10 across up to four hot-swap disks for a total 8TB storage. Prices for this model start at £879.
