3Com's Palm Computing division has won an injunction preventing Olivetti from shipping its personal digital assistant (PDA), after accusing it of stealing certain parts of the PalmOS operating system.
Palm Computing claims certain elements of the PalmOS were copied verbatim into Olivetti's Royal Davinci system, which first shipped last October, but the injunction prevents Olivetti Office USA from the further distribution, sale or export of the device.
Olivetti Office USA could not be reached for comment at press time.
