Peoplesoft plans to launch version 7.0 of its applications suite tomorrow, three months earlier than planned. The product, which is due to ship next month, is based on a three-tier client/server architecture and supports Bea Software's Tuxedo transaction processing monitor and middleware. It also sports a Web browser-based front end. The firm is also expected to announce that 11 consultancies have joined its Peoplesoft Manufacturing Implementation Partner programme, including the Big Six.
