The prospect of Ingram Micro floating came closer as the company found a chief financial officer to oversee the process.
Ingram has appointed Michael Grainger as CFO and executive vice president. He has been recruited internally and worked for the past six years as the vice president of holding company Ingram Industries.
The company has been looking for a CFO to complete its partial flotation, which is now likely to happen before the end of the year. Privately held Ingram has a number of interests outside computing including coal mining.
