Arbor Software has started shipping version 4.1 of its Essbase online analytical processing (Olap) software. The offering automatically updates structural, organisational and user-defined changes in the datamart it runs against, and can maximise system availability without the need for manual intervention or the reloading of data. It also includes a Grid application programming interface to enable users to add Olap capabilities into their custom applications.
