Software AG has added Internet access capabilities to its Intelligon range of data warehousing products.
Key to this Web Data Warehouse environment is Source Point 2.1, which extracts information from source systems such as mainframes and sends it to a data warehouse or a Web server. The latest version of Source Point supports third party extraction tools.
Source Point consists of a set of client/server components, including a Windows-based administrator, which are installed on different platforms and linked by middleware. A software agent coordinates the source data extraction process.
Software AG will provide consultancy services to customers who want to Web-enable their Intelligon warehouses.
