Baan has agreed to acquire Dutch package supplier, Proloq Holding, as part of its new strategy to boost its presence in vertical markets.
Proloq's offerings are currently sold as add on modules to the enterprise resource planning vendor's applications suite in the primary metals, cable and wire, and pulp and paper vertical sectors, and it will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Baan.
The firm was set up in 1990, is based in Veenendaal, the Netherlands, and has 71 staff.
