Sun rolls out at the Grand Prix
At the British Grand Prix last week, West McLaren Mercedes used Sun's Java technology to record key telemetry data used by the pit crew to analyse the car's performance and make crucial set-up decisions. The Java system created for the team provided a new graphical front end to display the masses of technical data to the mechanical support team. Sun also provided CAD CAM systems for designing the team's cars and software that ran McLaren's Web site.
