BT has been hauled over the coals by Welsh nationalists, after having refused to take pager messages in Welsh.
Although BT’s pager operators accept simple messaging in French, Spanish and German, they do not accept Welsh words such as 'nos da' (good night) or 'diolch' (thank you) because the operators do not understand them.
Following complaints from both the Welsh National Assembly and the Welsh Language Board, BT has promised it will rectify the situation.
