Sybase is about to ship beta copies of its Java enabled mobile database, Adaptive Server Anywhere 6.0.
Originally announced in November, Adapative Server Anywhere supports symetric multiprocessing (SMP) and is 100 per cent Java-compliant.
Packaged in a suite of tools called SQL Anywhere Studio, the successor to SQL Anywhere Professional 6.0 is available initially for Netware and Windows CE. It costs $1,000 for five users, $400 for a single user.
