Visix Software has started shipping version 3.0 of its Galaxy Application Environment C and C++ development tool. The upgrade includes multi-thread and ActiveX support and enables developers to create forms based applications more easily, define custom data formats for data retrieval, generate HTML-based help and build applications that support browser access. Galaxy 3.0 is available under Windows NT and Solaris at $11,500 per developer, but support for other Unix flavours, OS/2 and Macintosh are scheduled to follow in the first quarter of next year.
