US media giant Time Warner is to build an Internet superstore in a bid to establish itself as a major Web retailer.
According to US reports, the company will create a site that sells products from its various units as well as partnering with rivals to sell everything from books and CDs to videos and clothing.
Currently, Time Warner?s companies, such as Warner Bros, Studio Stores and Atlantic Records, have separate Web sites operating at varying levels of profitability. The new venture will not replace these, but plans to coordinate them to produce a Web superstore.
