A county councilor faces disciplinary hearings after being spotted playing Solitaire on her laptop during a council session.
According to the Shropshire Star Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough councilor Gillian Chaplin was seen playing solitaire on her laptop by a member of the public. A constituent claimed he was "gobsmacked" to see the elected representative playing the popular computer game for an estimated quarter of an hour.
"I don't want to say anything about it," said the Conservative councilor.
"It did not stop me listening. It was only at the very end that it happened anyway. I don't know what else to say."
She now faces a possible hearing at the Standards Board for England which monitors the conduct of elected representatives.
