Netscape is to launch its electronic commerce service to sell third party software over the Internet on Wednesday. Software Depot, announced last month, is a joint venture with Internet company Software.net to sell Java based tools and distribute shareware and plug-ins through Netscape's Web site. Vendors which will sell tools include Borland, Corel and IBM.
