RK Distribution has re-organised to focus on its storage and peripheral business and away from networking. Last Friday it laid off its networking product manager and its technical manager of networks but John Milner, joint MD at the company, said no telesales people had gone.
?We?re looking at re-organising the networking division,? Milner said. ?We?re mainly a data storage and peripheral distributor and while we had been looking to acquiring a networking business we?ve decided to change our focus. We are now looking at slotting the networking group into existing business.?
He said that did not mean RK Distribution would necessarily abandon networking. It was still a matter of focus for the company. He did not say which networking distributors RK had talked to in its bid to acquire expertise.
