IPivot is expanding its load-balancing line with an entry-level product and is also changing the name of its flagship product. The company is shipping its new product, Intelligent Broker 4000, which is aimed at companies with single-site Web or intranet servers. IPivot has also released Intelligent Broker 7000, formerly known as QoS Broker, with added functionality. Intelligent Broker 7000 is a hardware/software tool that provides load balancing and enables administrators to choose which requests or Web pages are served content first. The 7000 is priced at $29,995 (#17,749), while the 4000 is $14,995 (#8,873).
