Forte Software will launch its workflow automation product, code-named Conductor, on 12 March.
The product will be sold as an integrated module to add workflow services to the supplier?s application development environment, but will not be sold as a standalone offering for third party tools.
Until now, developers have had to use a scripting language to incorporate business rules into their applications or to manually integrate third party workflow engines into their packages.
But Conductor enables them to separate application logic from business logic, which means they can change their business rules without rewriting their application source code.
